I'm here
In the blog universe, a person can write something in their pj's and curlers (does anyone use curlers any more?) and anyone else in the universe might read it and think about it and write back. It's pen pals run amok and I guess it's bound to be fun for the writer - me - but I wonder why it's interesting, thoughtful and maybe occasionally thought-provoking for other people. Are we all voyeurs really??

Here's an amazing fact for today. I'm a grandmother, actually a double grandmother because one child had a child early this year and another had one four months later. (Lest anyone think "aha, this is so-and-so!", let me point out that I know three people who became grandparents two, three and two times this year, respectively, so there's not enough information to identify me. Which matters because I promised not to name names without permission. Of course, no one may be reading this now nor ever so it may not matter anyway.) As for being a blissfully happy grandmother, in my mind's eye I see a line of people who came before me gazing appreciatively at everyone else in the queue -- and two lovely new people at the head of the line. It's exciting, astonishing and wonderful.
