Is change progress?
Yes, another redesign. As I've mentioned, I used to move furniture periodically. Redesigning a web page is unlikely to make me bump into anything on my way to the refrigerator, causes far less wear and tear on my muscles, and is just plain fun. However, I notice that different browsers and, sometimes, different computers, display things extraordinarily differently. On Opera, e.g., the sidebar links are really tiny whereas they're small but okay on IE. Let me know what you think.

errr, in Firefox on 1280 x 1024, things arent looking so good... left column, then right column, then content, so there's a *huge* amount of up down scrolling - also even on my high res, a left right scroll is needed to see everything.

I opened it in IE and I think it looks as it should. I like the layout and colors, but as I never use IE, I will stick to reading your blog thru bloglines =)

Isn't that annoying! Thanks for letting me know. Do you set yours up on Firefox? Do you suppose there are okay-on-all-browsers layouts?

Thanks, you guys! I bet there's a moral somewhere about looking beautiful one way and icky another. What do you think? Shall I over-theorize??! :)

I'm too chicken to use javascript or anything too complicated. I guess you could say I'm sort of a minimalist web designer. I'm still trying to work the bugs out of my latest but I've found that sometimes old-fashioned tables work better than the div tag.

Mine works ok in all 3 browsers (I test in Opera also even though I dont use it, call it compulsive behavior, or CIW school brainwashing LOL) I also find that when I am designing a site for a client, they often tell me they don't care what it looks like in anything other than the browser they themselves use, and I have to explain to them the whole world doesnt use their browser, at their resolution... Makes me wonder why even standards aren't well, STANDARD lol
