Stores refer to today as Black Friday because their sales records often go "in the black" just from today's sales. It seems pretty scary to pin a whole year's success on one day. On the other hand, we had such a pleasant, relaxed, chatty, good day yesterday - some family members and friends plus lots of yummy food and wine - that I actually hope the next twelve months depend on one day.Labels: anniversaries, shopping
Q: Why do I blog?
A: I could babble to my friends about all the things
that interest me, but few would stay awake let alone be interested let alone share their own thoughts back.
A journal might work, but who'd give feedback then? On a blog, people might stop by whether on purpose or by accident and might feel amused
or interested or angry or whatever, and might even add their own thoughts. Plus, I must admit that
it's a way to leave my thoughts (a/k/a myself) for my children and grandchildren to know me better. Assuming they want to, ha ha, and assuming they read it, of course.
