what, no derangement syndrome today?!
The people who lost elections yesterday, and the people who supported the people who lost elections yesterday, will now be all freaked out and start moaning and groaning and gnashing their teeth about the demise of freedom and life as we know it, right? And they'll get their medical insurance to pay for therapy because they're so upset. And they'll threaten to hightail it to some other country. And they'll stay in bed all day for at least three days because they're so depressed. And then in case they haven't acted out enough, they'll yell and scream some more and call the winners nasty names and liken them to evildoers of the past. Right? Oh but, wait, that's what the people who just won did when they lost. Anyway it's not winning or losing that's the problem, no, no, it's the evil man himself who occupies the White House. Of course. How could I forget? Silly me.

What a great post! I admit I woke up this morning wanting to hide somewhere for the next couple years where the terrorists and tax collectors can't find me (grin), but then I thought to myself "What would Ronald Reagan do?" And I tried to write a post myself that was both honest about disappointment yet forward-looking. The last thing I want to do is act like...well, the people you wrote about! (Grin)

Best wishes, Laura

Thanks, Laura! I wanted to write something cathartic, funny and true. I'm pleased that it worked a little and that you think so.

Best wishes to you, too.
