teammates?
Miscellaneously musing Laura makes note of a post by Captain's Quarters mentioning the idea of a Guiliani / Gingrich team. The difficulty would be that they each have - er - difficult first marriage issues but maybe that's not so important in the wake of Kennedy, Clinton, Newsom, etc., etc. It could make it a more serious and historically aware campaign, by far. They're not "polibrities", at least, and they certainly evidence more intelligence than the others milling around at the moment.

Giuliani/Lieberman would be cool. Or Gingrich/Lieberman.
Or Jeb Bush/Lieberman.
Thinking about it, how about Lieberman as Pres? Yes I know he's a Dem, but he is so level headed and not a poll-itician, like so many of them.

Do you think voters would even remotely accept another Bush right now (level-headed and smart though he may be)? Also Lieberman seems smart but he's incredibly unappealing from a "polibrity" point of view and we Americans want our statesmen cute, you know. Gingrich is an interesting person to throw into the mix, though, and I quite like Giuliani myself but I wonder if he's too "new york" for most voters.
