Sparse posting
Dutchess County Fair weekend. Many visiting family and friends. Computer readjustments, housework, food buying, socializing, entertaining, waiting for things and people, etc., etc. Hardly any time to get near the computer, let alone wax rhapsodic or attempt anything like perceptive remarks. Back Sunday evening. Have a terrific weekend and try not to miss me too too much.

Wow, your life is as 'bad' as mine! It didn't used to be like this did it? I mean I picked up a shirt tonight with all the buttons missing and I know I could find the time to sew some back on but I also know it won't get done because there is always something that seems more important. I remember when I was young it was just a normal thing for people to mend clothes, darn socks, knit sweaters [I know you do that but I mean everyone used to do it, it was part of life]. Point is, there was always time. One of the reasons I've quit blogging for a while is to change back a bit to how things were, I need some time to learn about photo shop, read a few of the books I keep buying, see a few neglected friends. Sometimes it would be nice to have a five day job instead of being self employed, and there I think is my problem! but what can you do. And regarding the blogging, I have started one with blogger, once it's up and running I'll get back to it. I'll be able to have comments and post photos, how about that.

Wow, socializing and entertaining, what's that? Wish I could do more of that around here sometimes, instead of just me and the kids all day. Hope you have fun!

L: I'm thrilled to hear you've started a blogger blog; I've missed you because you're not there, if you know what I mean. Can't wait to read more! And I agree about time -- I remember having time to get bored, years ago. What the heck happened?!

Barb: you make it sound purely fun but when it's family, grown children and all, there's more angst amid the joy than I'd like. There was LOTS of fun, especially with t2cgitw, though. And I appreciate your good wishes very much.

Well I'm thrilled that you're thrilled! Seriously though, it will be a while, I have to get it set up properly, learn how to post pics and stuff like that, and I still feel in need of a little break to catch up on other things.

I'm estranged from my own family, and my in-laws have problems of their own right now with a grown child. Families can be tough. I hope my daughters and I are still close when they are grown...

Barb, it's a shame that you're estranged from your family. I'm sure there are good reasons and I sympathize. It's hard to do, but I admire people who can spend time together and just be "blind" to the things that upset them about each other. My daughter-in-law is good at that and I'm trying to learn from her.
