There's almost nothing that brings a smile to my face as quickly as a rubber duckie. No, I have no idea why. The plain, yellow, bright-eyed cutie just knocks me out. I admit to quite liking the variations, too (Devil Ducky, Glow in the Dark Ducky, and all the myriad rest) but the word "quack" always makes me laugh and a small rubber duck always delights me.
Q: Why do I blog?
A: I could babble to my friends about all the things
that interest me, but few would stay awake let alone be interested let alone share their own thoughts back.
A journal might work, but who'd give feedback then? On a blog, people might stop by whether on purpose or by accident and might feel amused
or interested or angry or whatever, and might even add their own thoughts. Plus, I must admit that
it's a way to leave my thoughts (a/k/a myself) for my children and grandchildren to know me better. Assuming they want to, ha ha, and assuming they read it, of course.
