They know no bounds
Hill and Billary are utterly shameless in their assumption that they know the way of the world, the whole world. Heaven help us - well, some of us, at any rate - if she gets elected.

I find Clinton's assumption that our standing needs to be "restored" -- which is a backhanded slam at the entire country, not just the current President -- embarrassing. It's just not becoming for a former President to "diss" his own country in this manner.

Articles like this give me heartburn!

Best wishes,
Laura

I agree with Laura, it's the same old lefty trope that America is at fault and needs to change, to reach out. Doesn't anyone remember Chirac and Schroeder, the leaders in the opposition to the US, up to their eyeballs in oil for food money and arms sales to Saddam and who both lost their jobs? And how come France, the ultimate anti-American EUnuch country is now on our side without any change on this side of the ocean?
The big puzzle is how the left can get away with this crap. Do you suppose Bill Clinton is going to be Jimmy Carter2?

Laura, that's a very good point. It really is insulting and "bad form" for a former president and a presidential candidate to say and do what they say and do. If a family member were to take that kind of stand, it would be quite clearly insulting to the family. Please can't we unearth someone really good to be the next president?!

T (ha, I remembered!), as always, you make a wonderful point. The Europeans are becoming scared to death and recognizing that Bush was right, if not the slickest presenter in the world (but who cares?). And I have absolutely no idea, nor an explanation, why the left keeps getting away with this. Although I do think there's Stockholm Syndrome in here somewhere, if only I were psychologically savvy enough to figure it out.
