Running mate?
Whom do you think McCain will choose for v.p.? I have friends who've said if he picks Bloomberg, the November race will be theirs. On the other hand, since Bloomberg is an independent at present, he may run with Obama. That would sure be interesting. He's a nanny in successful businessman's clothing but he'd make a heckuva good v.p.

Predictions, anyone?

I picked McCain to win the nomination quite some time ago but I have no idea on this, Bloomberg seems almost like the last person you'd want on the ticket, Romney would be a better choice. For sure given McCain's age you want someone capable of taking over. I've heard a couple of Governor's names mentioned but I don't remember them right now which in itself might be a not good sign, assuming there are many more like me who don't follow closely who all these people are.

PS. I'd love to see Fred Thompson on the ticket but you really don't want two old guys with bouts of cancer on their medical records running together!

I agree that Thompson would be awesome but I think they hate each other, for one thing, and you've got a point about oldish and sickish.

Why don't you like Bloomberg?? He's very respected although he's majorly disliked.

As for Bloomberg, isn't he a really big nanny stater? Bit like Hillary with a brain.
