sigh
Don't you wonder why Blogger doesn't just post a notice when there are ongoing connection problems? P.S., I'm hearing about several people having trouble with the internet today and they're not all on blogger.com so maybe it's something else. P.P.S., Okay but the stops and starts for almost 8 hours now, plus error messages and blank pages, are just so annoying. Take it down and fix it, if you must; this is crazy-making.

It would be nice to know, you could at least spend your time on something else other than trying to connect because you think it's something on your end.

Haven't seen you around "Dead Guy" lately- it's been moved, if you're interested. I made it a site of it's own. "Dead Guy"

That's SO true. Don't you always think it's you, when something happens on a computer?? I'm always saying that at work, too - just tell us!

I know - I was involved with family stuff since last Thursday. I'm back in circulation now, though, so I just saw that about it having its own site. I'll be there momentarily! Thanks!!

Blogger is moving everyone to new servers, I think, and new dumbed down functionalities for template tweaking.

It'll be easier for non-geeks to change fonts and colors, etc.

But they call tags "labels" which is very stupid, you should not violate web norms, since that decreases clarity and usability.

I added Blogger Status to my sidebar so I could get there slightly faster. But you can see it in your Dashboard, for all the troubles and such.

Blogger is pretty good, despite glitches here and there. At least I have never lost posts or comments or etc.

I hate popup windows and Haloscan for comments. Glad you don't use it.

Thanks for linking to me.

Friend, the top of your blog is slightly cut off as I view it in Firefox. A thin little slice, so the lady holding the babe, her head is GONE!!! And the title of your blog is trimmed at the top. Never saw that before. Have no clue why. Just thot ya shd know.

Cheers!

You aren't using comment moderation? But you do use word veri. That's good.

steven edward streight - Thanks for your helpful comments. I'm always wary when something is made easier for non-geeks because usually (not always, fortunately) it means reduced tweak-ability. From what I read so far, blogger's going to still let us fiddle away, if we want to, and I sure hope that's true. And I totally agree with you about "labels" vs. "tags". It reminds me of MS's use of the word "favorites" instead of "bookmarks". I don't have any emotional reaction at all to many of the pages that I bookmark, let alone think of them as "favorites" so that verbiage makes me crazy.

Thanks for your comments about what doesn't show correctly. One of my plans for this weekend is to get everything to display in Firefox as well as IE. Wish me luck!! :)

Pluto (a/k/a/ Ubu) - Thanks also for yours. I found comment moderation too annoying although I will obviously go there if people become more annoying than the moderation thereof. And I love your photo of Becket (that's who it is, right?). What's the story with ubu web??
